...it's winter, folks

So many people whose sites I visit are really complaining about the cold and snow.  It's winter!  I thoroughly enjoy every season as it is given to me.  Some years are milder than others, but I have to say I really like the test of a good old fashioned, hard winter.  So now the weather guru's are trying to convince us that because Greenland is experiencing a mild winter, that puts the rest of the world into record breaking cold?? hahahahaha  Before, they also used the arctic and alaska for these stats, but they had to quit because they are experiencing normal to cold temps as well this winter.   Pinheads.  It snowed last nite and it is around 5 degrees this morning.  Beautiful....

....first words of the new year?

The first words I uttered in the new year were, "OMG, what is she thinking?"  D and I stay in on New Year's Eve, always have.  It is amateur's night and the cops are especially vigilant and mean.  So, he toddered off to bed early this year after grilled flank steak on french toast rounds with a cream cheese, garlic, green onion and horseradish sauce and a dip made of brie with pine nuts and roasted red peppers (with crackers).  I listened to the bands on Dick Clark and the Vegas show afterward.  Fergie is amazing and I really enjoyed the Black Eyed Peas...not so much some of the pop (read: babies) performing in between.  Well, Jennifer Lopez performed in Time Square and I have always thought she was pretty good looking.  She has a big ass, but who wouldn't say she was hot?  And I always liked her panache in claiming the junk in her trunk, saying it was part of her.  Last night, she succumbed to popular opinion and it wasn't pretty.  J-Lo clearly in a diet frenzy downsized her derriere.  Unfortunately, she dieted so strenuously that her arms and legs are now toothpicks and her boobs are small and saggy and her waist looks thick.  The only voluptuous curve left was a bit of her belly and that didn't look too hot paired with the new starving etheopian look she has managed.  Then, she covers it all with a skin tight, sparkly turd-brown onesie.  The pics don't show it, but she had stilleto ankle boots on.  From the neck down, she looked like Phyllis Diller.....

...not so silent night

Our traitorous president commands the troops to stand down on muslim holidays (and they use that against us with startling regularity over there, ask any serviceman).  What do they do?  Send a murderous bomber to take out an airplane on Christmas Day because they know it is one of the most heavily traveled days and because  the moral factor is tripled by such an obamanation.  Now, remember how oh bummer has stood so staunchly to protect the rights of the detainees?  Our troops must wear gloves to touch the quran in cell searches and a courtmartial awaits any soldier accused of disrespecting....a book.  Part of his campaigning was that "muslims are people too".... awwwwww.  Well, the snake in the whitehouse has once again flipflopped as he pleases with impunity.  No majornews media outlet picked this up.

After hearing passionate arguments from the Obama Administration, the Supreme Court acquiesced to the president's fervent request and, in a one-line ruling, let stand a lower court decision that declared torture an ordinary, expected consequence of military detention, while introducing a shocking new precedent for all future courts to follow: anyone who is arbitrarily declared a "suspected enemy combatant" by the president or his designated minions is no longer a "person."  They will simply cease to exist as a legal entity. They will have no inherent rights, no human rights, no legal standing whatsoever -- save whatever modicum of process the government arbitrarily deigns to grant them from time to time, with its ever-shifting tribunals and show trials.

This extraordinary ruling occasioned none of those deep-delving "process stories" that glut the pages of the New York Times, where the minutiae of policy-making or political gaming is examined in highly-spun, microscopic detail doled out by self-interested insiders. Obviously, giving government the power to render whole classes of people "unpersons" was not an interesting subject for our media arbiters. It was news that wasn't fit to print. Likewise, the ruling provoked no thundering editorials in the Washington Post, no savvy analysis from the high commentariat -- and needless to say, no outrage whatsoever from all our fierce defenders of individual liberty on the Right.

...Channeling their predecessors in the George W. Bush administration, Obama Justice Department lawyers argued in this case that there is no constitutional right not to be tortured or otherwise abused in a U.S. prison abroad.

This liar is now officially a traitor to this country and muslim countries alike.  What an amazing accomplishment....
